The 3rd Annual Bughouse Gathering (May 24-June 1, 1999) in San Jose, CA  was a great success! The turn out was slightly lower than the previous two gatherings -- most likely the result of major chess tournaments coinciding with the bug gathering this year.  Nevertheless, the gathering was incredibly exciting and outrageously entertaining! The bughouse action was intense and the atmosphere was remarkably friendly.  Arguments, which often occur during internet bughouse games, were virtually non-existent at the over-the-board gathering.  Ican say without reservation that everyone had a wonderful time!
