Welcome
to Bughouse.net! The goal of Bughouse.net is to be
a well maintained bughouse chess site that provides quality
resources, links, information, and news regarding bughouse
chess.
It
should be noted that although Bughouse.net is not a "non-profit"
organization, this site will never be commercialized.
The Bughouse.net site has been designed for use by all bughouse
chess enthusiasts, internet chess players, and the entire
internet community, in general. I've taken much from
the internet in the past years and it's really time for
me to give something back. There will never be a charge
for bughouse.net, it will always be free.
There
continues to be costs associated with maintaining Bughouse.net
(e.g. monthly web hosting charges, domain name, etc.) so
any and all donations would be greatly appreciated.
Of course, Bughouse.net is also willing to accept commercial
sponsorship to help off set the cost of maintaining this
site. Excess funds received from donations will be
used to promote the growth of chess (e.g. donating chess
equipment to schools), as well as sponsor other activies,
services, and functions (e.g. over-the-board bughouse gatherings).

Who maintains
Bughouse.net, you might ask? Well, my name is David
Chong. I live in Los Angeles, CA and have been a bughouse
chess enthusiast for many years now. I am not a phenomenal
bughouse player by any means nor am I a full time professional
web page designer. However, I do love the game and
have formed many friendships over the Free Internet Chess
Server.
It
is my hope that bughouse.net will be effective in continuing
to help promote the game of bughouse, as well as being useful
in assisting players who wish to become stronger bughouse
players reach their goals by providing quality bughouse
strategy information and software tools. With any
luck, bughouse.net will be entertaining enough to capture
the interest of new players and encourage them to learn
this fast paced, exciting chess variant. Hopefully,
The
Bug Board, Bughouse.net's online message board &
discussion group, will continue to be instrumental in helping
improve the overall internet chess playing environment and
facilitating the advancement of bughouse chess.
I
will be continuing to develop and maintain this site singlehandedly.
Your feedback will be always be invaluable. So please,
send me your thoughts, comments, ideas, and suggestions.
I would greatly appreciate!
Sincerely,
David Chong
